This was my first home in the United States. I moved here in December 1996. A tiny little luxury apartment, this set the standard for our homes in the future. This was where I painstakingly acquired and assembled my first set of furniture - mostly from the now defunct chain store, Caldor, and some from KMart. Meenakshi arrived here after our wedding, and rearranged everything - or at least as much as our budget would allow. We left this apartment in August 1997, when my assignment came to an end, moving to the dreary expanses of upstate New York.... |
